Former NFL player Zac Stacy was arrested and jailed in Florida Thursday night (November 18) after video showing him brutally beating his ex-girlfriend Kristin Evans surfaced online.

According to TMZ, the 30-year-old ex-football player fled the scene of her Florida home Saturday (November 13) after he stopped brutalizing Evans while their five-month-old son was in the room.

Home surveillance video captured the harrowing incident, showing Stacy repeatedly punching Evans in the head and slamming her to the ground, while she begged him to stop.

After the beating stopped, Evans reportedly called the police who told the outlet they arrived in under two minutes, but Stacey was already gone. Authorities previously believed the former running back had left the state but they eventually caught up to him.

According to reports, Evans filed a restraining order against Stacy to protect her and their son after the attack and authorities moved her to an "undisclosed location" out of concern for her safety.

Before Stacy was apprehended, Evans posted a video statement to Instagram, thanking supporters and accused Stacy's friends of hiding him.

"I just want to say thank you to everyone who has continued to support me in this ordeal," she said in the statement.

On Thursday (November 18), local officials announced they were charging Stacy with two felonies –– aggravated assault and criminal mischief. If convicted, he could face more than 15 years in prison.

Stacy currently remains jailed in Orange County, Florida.
