Have you visited the most "boring" tourist trap in all of Florida?

Because "boring" can mean something different to every traveler, this destination is admired by some and detested by others.

Tourists often choose destinations based on elements they think will fascinate them, only to arrive and find a place very different from what they initially anticipated.

Be it distinctive history or sheer popularity, something about this well-known Florida location drew people in, and they walked away with an experience far from what they imagined. Some are disappointed with their experience, and others are interested and cannot wait to tell their friends and family.

According to a list compiled by Cheapism, the most overrated tourist destination in Florida is the Skunk Ape Research Center in Ochopee.

Here's what Cheapism had to say about the most "boring" tourist destination in the entire state:

"Never heard of a skunk ape? You're not alone. According to the website of the Skunk Ape Research Center, it's a large, hairy, bipedal mammal that calls the Florida Everglades home and may be a distant relative of Bigfoot. Reviewers point out that the facility in Ochopee is not a "research center" at all — just a gift shop with a small museum devoted to an obscure mythological creature. There is also an animal exhibit. Admission is $12 for adults, $6 for kids, which may leave some folks feeling "skunked."
